Founded by Clark Hill, our RIBA Chartered Practice is built on over two decades of architectural experience. Our story began with a technical foundation in the North West and was honed within the high-calibre design culture of London. Today, the studio brings that dual heritage to every project—blending pragmatic, "boots-on-the-ground" problem solving with a refined, artisanal approach to craft.
We believe that great architecture is a delicate balance of science and soul. While we are driven by the technical rigor of low-carbon design, we are equally obsessed with the tactile beauty of a building—the way light enters a room, the texture of a material, and the enduring quality of a well-made detail.

Our approach to sustainability
For us, sustainability isn’t a "bolt-on" feature or a list of gadgets; it is baked into the very first sketch. We focus on:
Fabric First
We prioritize the building’s envelope. By focusing on high-quality insulation, air-tightness, and thermal mass, we reduce the energy demand of a building before a single heating system is even turned on.
Embodied Carbon
We consider the "hidden" carbon in materials. From the concrete in the foundations to the timber in the frame, we challenge ourselves to specify materials that are sustainable, durable, and responsibly sourced.
Passive Intelligence
We design with the elements in mind. By harnessing natural light and managing solar gain, we create spaces that stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer—naturally.
